I fell in love with clay in high school. There is nothing quite so liberating as playing with mud. In college I pursued the intellectual side of art, earning a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Tufts University. The unwavering desire to create returned in my senior year and I added a minor in Studio Art to my studies. I took a variety of ceramic classes from the SMFA in Boston.

My work thus far has been highly experimental. I love to find the moments where surface texture and glaze combinations meet and break and swirl around. I draw inspiration from the natural world, as well as the architectural and industrial.

Since graduating in 2019, I have been living in Asheville and have made the River Arts District my home. I have been working with a much more ephemeral medium, food! Cooking professionally has given me insight into the discipline and structure necessary to produce culinary art.
